Why we’re here

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
— H. Jackson Brown Jr.

In 2016, after 5 years of hard work, Barry graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic with a Masters of Chiropractic (MChiro). He immediately started working as an associate in the castled town of Caerphilly. Barry is registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) and the British Chiropractic Association (BCA). He has taken courses in Acupuncture, Extremity Adjustment (we don’t just treat spines!) and Sport Taping.

Barry and his wife Alys moved to Kington early in 2018 to start a new adventure. Having travelled around a bit, including a fairly long period living on a boat (no it’s not that cold), they wanted somewhere to settle. They fell in love with the area after many camping and walking trips and Kington was chosen as the place to be, especially as they had always received a warm welcome here.

In his previous working life Barry spent many years in Theatres and Concert Halls as a sound and lighting technician. In this role he discovered a love for understanding how things work. His mother however, would say it started as a child with a love for taking apart anything technical, even if it wasn’t broken! Occasionally things worked again afterwards too. In 2011 Barry and Alys decided to up-sticks from the big smoke that is Bristol, travel round Europe on a motorcycle for a month and then knuckle down to some hard work. Barry completed the course with a keen interest in starting an affordable clinic for the whole family.
